Act 4 became World Record holders back in 2009 as they performed the most theatrical performances in 50 days at venues across England and Wales.
Over the next year, Act 4 would love to become World Record holders again, and are therefore holding a poetry competition for a World Record attempt to host the largest poetry competition in the World!
The poetry competition is linked to the centenary of WW1, and will therefore start on the 11th November 2017, and finish on the 11th November 2018.
The theme of the poetry competition is how World War 1 has shaped and changed our World today. Poems should focus on how we all have the power and potential to make a positive change, and what we want our World to be like today.
Entries are open to anyone that wishes to take part – children, adults, families, community groups, Uniformed Organisation Groups... This competition is open to any age group and not restricted to local areas. Some of our entries will be coming from our previous overseas volunteers too!
We hope you will be able to support us and look forward to receiving your entries soon.
If you are able to encourage others to take part too, please spread the word.
For more information on how to enter please see our World Record page.
